Brian Simmons is our Vice President of Marketing.  He has been with the company since 2001.  He is originally from Cape Cod, MA.  After attending Norwich University, a military college in VT, he moved to FL with the intentions of being a pilot for an airline.  Plans changed after he earned his FL Real Estate license.  He still flies, but only for pleasure and for travel in and around FL including the Bahamas.  He has been a member of AOPA (Airplane Owners and Pilots Association) since he earned his pilot's license in 1997.  He is also currently a Fl State certified Firefighter and serves as a Captain for Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Dept, where he oversees the training program as well as the Marine Rescue Team and their efforts. 

Brian has recently taken and passed all of his courses for his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation and awaits to pass his final exam.  When completed with that step, he will be a certified expert in commercial investment grade real estate and will be a member of group of a little over 7,000 others worldwide who have been able to earn this distinction.  Thomas Downs was one of the first designees after he attended Norwich University.  Brian's combination of experience with the development of a large residential community in Cape Canaveral, his assistance with various real estate investments of the company, and his diverse background make him a formidable ally to the Downs team. 

 Future plans for Brian include opening and leading a new Sales office and Foreclosure Center in Melbourne, FL.  We will be able to handle both commercial and residential properties as well as to assist our clientele with any issues they might have with foreclosures, be it enduring one or looking to invest.
